CHASSIS

Triumph GT6 with additional bracing struts to link the outriggers with the backbone.

Rear subframe from a Ford Granada Cosworth, welded in place of the original rear part of the chassis.

Chassis lengthened six inches to move the front suspension forward:  The effect is to move the engine behind the front axle for improved weight distribution.

 

Roll hoop with twin door bars angled down to meet the front outriggers.   Hoop extended from front outriggers underneath scuttle linked to the body.

Front

Triumph GT6 uprights, hubs and double wishbones with two inch extensions welded in place to widen track.

Spax adjustable dampers

480lb springs (Triumphtune part no. TT4407)

26mm anti roll bar.

Polyurethene bushed throughout

Rear

Semi trailing arms Granada Cosworth (1985 on)

17mm Anti Roll Bar

Spax competition fully adjustable coil over dampers. Spring rates 200lbs 9’’x2.25’’ i.d.

STEERING

Spitfire rack on solid mounts.   2.7 turns lock to lock.

Chopped Rover SD1 radiator (built by Serck Marston Reading) with swirl pot.

Exhaust System

Tubular manifolds (hand built by Protek).  Twin 2² pipe system with 1.75² balance pipe. Rear silencers with 4² disc only supertrapp system

Electrical System

Boot mounted battery. 70 amp alternator from Escort/Fiesta/Orion.

12 fuse box in engine bay with relays

Ignition System

As fitted standard to the Rover SD1 V8 (earlier model with amplifier fitted inside distributor)

12v coil on top of ballast resistor

Granada Scorpio 2.9 V6 Limited Slip Differential.   Ratio: 3.38:1
