“This is a car that I
bought from Robin Vincent about two and a half years back. He'd rescued
it from an owner who had built it and was never happy with the handling so it
was laid up for the best part of two decades - turned out he had fitted
the bodyshell too far back and upset the rear tracking. It's based on a mk4 Spitfire and now sports the usual four branch manifold,
Weber carbs, overdrive etc. It's on the road
and is in fact my daily transport at the moment.”
